Senior Civil Engineer Underground Concrete Structures for Transmission Lines and SubstationWe are currently seeking a skilled Senior Civil Engineer with expertise in designing underground concrete structures for transmission lines and substations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in designing underground foundations related to overhead transmission towers and substation equipment with voltages of 400 kV and below.
Location: Warsaw
Key Responsibilities:
Design underground foundations, including pad and chimney, mono-piles, multi-piles, precast concrete, and anchor in rock, for transmission towers and substation equipment.
Calculate all relevant reactions related to transmission towers or substation structures and gather necessary data for foundation design.
Design construction-level generic types of foundations considering various soil types and select foundation types based on geotechnical investigation data and reports.
Design setting cards for foundations.
Interpret soil characteristics including bearing capacity, uplifts, frustum angle requirements, SPT values, and laboratory test results.
Design protection measures against erosion and scouring-related aspects, such as watertight foundations and drainage channels.
Produce specifications for concrete, steel rebars, and foundation execution requirements.
Ensure compliance with relevant concrete foundations-related codes.
Requirements:
Masters Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University;
Minimum of five years of experience in designing underground concrete structures for transmission lines and substations.
Proficiency in both Polish and English languages for effective communication.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in relevant concrete foundations-related codes.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
